Notes

In teaching courses on Systems, Dynamics and Controls, we often use results and techniques from a number of topics in mathematics. The goal of this section is to broadly disseminate some notes on a few such relevant topics.

The HySES Lab also participates in a number of educational/outreach activities at UCF. Here are photographs from some past events:

CAMP CONNECT 2015, STEM DAY 2015

CAMP CONNECT 2013: Graduate students of HySES lab participated in Camp Connect during summer 2013. This week long event is organized by the Office of Diversity of the College of Engineering at UCF. The event is attended by students of 8th to 10th grade from underrepresented communities. Graduate students from the HySES lab offered one session where participants were involved in making a line-following robot using Lego blocks.

IMAGINE RIT 2009:The HySES Lab demonstrated the Hardware-In-the-Loop hybrid fuel cell test stand at the IMAGINE RIT festival on May 1st, 2009. The festival drew approximately 25,000 visitors and provided a great platform for outreach. This was the second year of IMAGINE RIT and is a tradition in making.

Colleges and Careers 2009: The HySES Lab participated in RIT’s Colleges and Careers program on August 8th, 2009.

CBET Bioscience Summer Camp 2009:The HySES Lab presented their hybrid energy systems research to middle school students participating in RIT CBET’s Bioscience Summer Camp on August 14th, 2009.
