Our research focuses on understanding the mechanisms governing macro- and micro-scale biological systems using the tools of continuum and computational solid mechanics. In particular, we are interested in cardiac mechanics and electrophysiology, and in the assembly and maturation of viral capsids and the morphing/deployable structures they inspire.
