11/03/08 Dr. Yong Tang joined Composite Materials and Structures Laboratory as post-doctoral research fellow from Polytechnic Institute of NYU.
10/20/08 The Composite Materials and Structures Laboratory was visited by local high school students and their parents at the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) Open House on October 4th, 2008.
09/12/08 Dr. Gou received a GOALI research grant from National Science Foundation for his project entitled "GOALI: Multifunctional Nanocomposites with High Damping Performance for Aerospace Structures" in collaboration with the University of Houston and Boeing Company.

05/30/2008 Prof R. Paskaramoorthy visited Composite Materials and Structures Laboratory at UCF on May 30, 2008. He is a researcher in composite materials and finite element methods from the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
05/26/08 Dr. Gou presented our research paper on fire properties of polymer matrix composites at SAMPE 2008, Long Beach, CA.
05/06/08 Dr. Gou attended NSF Grantee Conference on International Research and Education in Engineering (IREE), Washington DC, May 2-3, 2008. The Composite Materials and Structures Laboratory at UCF will conduct joint research with Prof. K.T. Lau at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
