Ph.D. Students

Marwan Hameed

Marwan got his Mechanical Engineering Master degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His research interests include CFD study of the hemodynamics of hybrid comprehensive stage II palliation for single ventricle disease. He has recently passed candidacy.

Kyle Beggs

Kyle got his Mechanical Engineering Master degree from the University of Central Florida. His research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics. He was awarded a full-ride fellowship for his Ph.D. studies by the Office of Research and Commercialization. He is currently pursuing an internship with Dassault Systèmes as a computational physics developer. He is currently developing a new tool to be used for Biofluids simulations.

M.S. Students

Blake Lozinski

Blake has dual Bachelors degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing his Masters in Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include CFD and  heat transfer. He is currently pursuing an internship with Aeroject Rocketdyne as an Aero Thermal Fluids intern. He performed thermal and fluid dynamic analysis of liquid rocket propulsion systems.

Roscelin Figueroa

Roscelin is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include computational fluid dynamics to investigate how leaflets behave depending on the different flow patterns and different viscosities. She has experience in 3+ years of experience working with CAD software and 1+ years of experience working with Matlab. Her thesis focuses on the inverse parameter estimation of lumped parameter models for multi-scale hemodynamics analysis.
