Undergraduate Research at CMSL

Exposure to nanocomposite materials research during undergraduate education constitutes an invaluable learning tool. It allows undergraduate students to learn how to collect experimental data and, ultimately, how to generate new knowledge. The undergraduate project is funded through NSF REU and CSEMS programs. In addition, the undergraduate research expands the horizons of students in nanocomposites science and technology.

High School Students at CMSL

ACE (Accepting the Challenge to Excel) is a program specially designed to help high school juniors explore careers in engineering and prepare for university-level training. Through ACE, juniors find out what engineers do and how they use math, science and the language arts to solve particular problems.

Engineering Open House at CMSL

As a part of National Engineers Week, the College of Engineering opens its doors to area schools. During this event, engineering faculty and students give demonstrations and offer hands-on activities related to science and engineering. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about what engineering students study and what professional engineers really do.
