Dazhong Wu
Principal Investigator
Dr. Dazhong Wu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Wu’s research is focused on data-driven smart manufacturing, additive manufacturing, predictive modeling, reliability engineering, and machine learning. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
Dr. Wu was named a Reach for the Stars honoree by UCF in 2024. He has been ranked as one of Top 2% Most-Cited scientists by Stanford/Elsevier. He was selected as one of the Most Influential Professors in Smart Manufacturing by the Smart Manufacturing Magazine. He received the Journal of Manufacturing Systems Best Paper Award in 2021 and 2019. One of his papers was selected as the Most Accessed Article in 2019 by Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering. He was the Outstanding Reviewer of the Year selected by Journal of Manufacturing Systems in 2019. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing.
