BIOGRAPHY
Ahmet Ozbay is currently an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Central Florida, where his teaching and research emphasize low‑speed aerodynamics, wind tunnel testing, vortex flow dynamics, and wind turbine aeromechanics and farm optimization. He earned his Ph.D. (2014) and M.S. (2012) in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University, following a B.S. in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University in Turkey (2009). His research includes experimental wind tunnel studies on turbine wakes and aerodynamic loads in atmospheric boundary layers—published in journals like Journal of Fluids and Structures, Wind Energy, and Energy UCF Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.A member of professional societies including ASME and AIAA, Dr. Ozbay is noted for challenging yet engaging coursework, particularly in fluid mechanics (EML 3701), where his evaluations reflect both rigorous exams and supportive, concept-driven instruction with abundant project opportunities
