Put your education in the fast lane with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCF. This degree is designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related field who are interested in advancing their knowledge and skills in the areas of mechanical systems and thermofluids.

Students enrolled in the M.S.ME can choose between three different tracks:
- Mechanical Systems Track — On this track, students will deep-dive into mathematical models, the mechanics of materials, dynamics and continuum mechanics.
- Thermofluids Track — Students on this track will concentrate on heat transfer, fluid mechanics, classical thermodynamics and mathematical models.
- Guidance Control and Dynamics Track — The curriculum of this track has strong emphasis in courses related to guidance control and dynamics with applications in aerospace engineering.
Admissions and Advising
In addition to the general UCF graduate application requirement, applicants to this program must provide:
- One official transcript (in a sealed envelope) from each college/university attended
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Statement of educational, research, and professional career objectives
- Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college/university outside the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. Credential evaluations are accepted from World Education Services or Josef Silny and Associates Inc. only.

Licensure or Certification
While licensure or certification may be available in this field of study, our program does not directly lead to such licensure or certification upon graduation. The professional preparation you receive in our program meets the educational requirements for licensure as a professional engineer and may still assist you in such pursuits; however, the licensing authority and requirements for professional engineers falls under the jurisdiction of the licensing board for the state, territory, or foreign entity in which engineer practices.
